School Council 2025 - 2026
Miss Lynch
Mrs Bacon

We’re excited to announce that it’s time to elect our new School Council!
Each year group from Year 1 to Year 6 will be represented by two children. Miss Lynch (KS2) and Mrs Bacon (KS1) recently led an assembly explaining what the School Council is and how children can get involved. Being a School Councillor is an important role, as children represent the views of their classmates, share ideas to make our school even better, and help with key decisions and projects throughout the year.
If your child would like to stand for election, they should let their class teacher know. On Thursday 9th October, candidates will have 1–2 minutes to share their ideas and explain why they should be chosen. This could be through a short speech, PowerPoint, letter or any other creative way they choose. Afterwards, children and staff will visit St Peter’s polling station to cast their votes for one boy and one girl from their year group who they believe will do the best job.
