Learning objective (title for books): To use expanded noun phrases in my writing.

1. Complete the grammar warm up activity sheet.

I’ve included the answer sheet so that you can check answers afterwards.

2. Go through the presentation.

3. Write about a setting using expanded noun phrases.

Choose one of the pictures (flower/starry sky/haunted house) to write about. Imagine you were there – what could you see/hear/feel/smell? Remember to include expanded noun phrases. eg: The twinkling, white stars lit up the dark, night sky.

NEW UNIT -  ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ by Drew Daywalt.

Learning objective (title for books): To write and perform a complaint speech.

To introduce the story, I’d like you to read the following PowerPoint which is inspired by the book. It features a selection of stories told through the eyes of different stationary items that children use in the classroom.

Through reading these stories, you will also learn the importance of taking care of equipment and resources in your own home/classroom.

Look out for some of your names!
