Home Learning Wednesday 6th January 2020

Good Morning Class 3!

I hope you are all well and ready to get started with some home learning activities.

Parents- please find below a daily timetable of activities for your child to complete today. Please remember that timings are just given as a suggestion to help you structure your child's day. You will find all weblinks and resources under each subject. Don't forget to start your day off with our daily morning prayer.

God Our Father,

I give to you,

All that I think and say and do.

All my work and all my happy play,

I will give to you today.

Amen.

Wake and Shake 8:50-9:00

Guided Reading 9:00-9:30

Please log into Active Learn. Read one book and complete the questions by clicking on the smiley bug faces.

English 09:30-10:30 (For this week, lessons will be based around the film clip below. Next week, the children in Ms Bell and Mrs Raja's groups will begin their Read, Write, Inc phonics and writing activities again)

Click on the link below to watch the short film clip- 'Partly Cloudy'

Here you will meet a cloud called Gus and a stork called Peck who are the best of friends. After watching the film discuss what happened. What types of animals did Gus make and what happened each time Peck collected and delivered them? Talk about how Gus and Peck feel at different points in the film and why.

Miss Green's and Ms Bell's Group- Write a descriptive sentence to match the images from the story (See sheet attached below)

Try using adjectives (such as spiky, ferocious, sharp) Try and describe Peck's and Gus's feelings. Can you use openers such as adverbs to start your sentences (such as fearfully, cautiously, suddenly) Don't forget to use correct punctuation- capital letters and full stops! If you cannot print the images then writing the sentences in your book is fine.

Mrs Raja's Group- Write words to describe Peck's and Gus's feelings around the images (See sheet attached below)

Think about how Peck might feel when he sees the crocodile? What words could you use? How might Gus feel when Peck flies away? Again if you cannot print these writing in your homework book is fine.
