Afternoon Lessons- 1:10 - 3:00
LO: To find out about the social structure and organisation of ancient Rome.
In this lesson we are looking at how the people in Rome lived under a social structure system.
Rome like many countries was once ruled by Kings and Queens. Rome decided to bring in what is called a 'Republic' system. The republic was different because it was a system of government that allowed certain people to vote for who they wanted to be in charge and make the decisions for the rest of the country. (The Romans' really were ahead of the times!)
There is a video to watch below, all about Rome and there is also information about the social structure too.
I have attached a slideshow for you to read and an activity. Use the information on Resource sheet A to help you write about the different types of people under the social structure pyramid.
PE- 21 Minute Challenge!
Every week I am gong to share a weekly challenge with you that will help you achieve your 21 minutes of continuous activity for the week. This weeks challenge is gymnastics. Take a look at the video and document below for how to enter!
There are two letters- one is for non-gymnastics club members and the other is for those of you that might attend a gymnastics club. Please select the letters and activities accordingly.
God our Father I'd like to say
Thank you for your love today.
Thank you for my family and all the things you give to me.
Guard me in the dark of night and in the morning send your light.
Well done for working so hard on your home-learning activities.
We can't wait to see you all again on tomorrow morning for our Morning Teams Session!
Love Miss Green,
