We are continuing our learning on the BFG and focusing on the opening scene today. Watch the next lesson To sequence and retell the opening ( and complete the activities. You will need to pause the video to complete the writing activities in your homework books. I have attached a sheet with the images from the BFG and columns for adjectives and feelings that is given as a task in the video.

Afternoon Lessons- 1:10 - 3:00

RE- LO: To show understanding of the Liturgical Calendar.

In our new RE unit we are thinking about Christians' journey with Jesus throughout the year. During a year Christians celebrate different events such as Lent, Easter, Pentecost, Advent and Christmas. In between these times we look at and try to follow Jesus' teachings.

Today you are going to learn about the Catholic Church's Liturgical calendar, looking at the events and the associated colours used.

For the starter activity, I would like to read and analysis the scripture linked to our 'Journeys' topic and write what you think it means in your own words. There is a sheet in the folder below or you can write it in your homework books. For the main task you need to complete the calendar activity by colouring the sections in the correct colours and drawing symbols to represent each event. This could be a cross for Easter or a stable for Christmas.

There is a power point presentation attached below to read through and help you with your activity.
