Good Morning Class 3!

Well done for continuing to work so hard on your home-learning activities.

Today's live sessions will be:

Please continue to email me with evidence of your child's learning at least once a week.

Miss Green's Group- LO: To draft the main body section of my newspaper report.

Today we will be moving on to the main body section of our reports and looking at all the key features we need to include. The PowerPoint that I will be sharing during the live introduction is attached below and there is also a prompt sheet with images from the clip to help you with your writing too. If you cannot join us there will also be a recording on the Teams site under the Morning Welcome session.

Mathematics Lesson- 11:00 - 12:00

Blue, Green, Orange Groups- LO: Revise halving numbers to 100 using partitioning.

Today we will be halving numbers by partitioning numbers into 10s and 1s, halving each number and adding both answers together to find half of the original number. 

Attached below is the power point slides which I will be sharing during the introduction and today's worksheets. There is also a worksheet with word problems - have a read of the question and think about whether you need to double or halve to find out the answers!

I would then like you to practice halving numbers by partitioning and have a go at this game:

Yellow Group- LO: To relate multiplying by two to doubling

In this lesson, we will re-visit arrays and relate them to the multiplication table of 2 to doubling. The worksheets for this lesson are attached below or complete all answers in your homework books.

You will need some number cards - you can make these by cutting up some paper into squares and writing numbers 1-10 on them.

Red Group- LO: To share a total equally and find the number of groups (Part 1)

You will be investigating which numbers can be shared equally between two, three and four groups. On your worksheet today, you will be sharing out decorations on sponge cakes so they all look the same and have the same amount of toppings and candles!

Afternoon Lessons- 1:10 - 3:00


RE- The Eucharist Mass- 1:10-2:10

LO: To learn about the actions performed during the Introductory Rite and the Liturgy of the Word.

 In today's lesson we will be looking at the actions performed after the Priest has welcomed everyone into Church during the 'Gathering.' This lesson looks at the Penitential Act, the Gloria and the Liturgy of the word.

There is a PowerPoint attached below that you can read through and a video to watch. You can complete the questions activity alongside and then I would like you to design a poster or leaflet based on the scripture at the end of the slide show. 

If you cannot print the activity sheet then please write neatly in your homework books and you can either design your poster/leaflet on paper or in your books too.
