I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for our last (!!) week of home-learning activities!

Today's live sessions will be:

English Lesson Introduction (Miss Green's Group) stay on after Morning Teams until 09:45

Mathematics Lesson Introduction (Orange, Green and Blue Groups) 1:15-1:40

Miss Green's Group- LO: To begin the final version of my newspaper report.

In today's lesson we are going to begin writing the final versions of our newspaper reports based on the film clip- Pigeon Impossible. The PowerPoint that I will be sharing during the live lesson is attached below and newspaper writing sheets too. If you cannot print this then please write neatly in your homework books. If you cannot join us for the live lesson then a recording on can found on the Teams site under the Morning Welcome session.

Ms Bell's and Mrs Raja's RWI phonics groups

In the folder's below you will find a teaching overview for the daily activities and resources for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, as Thursday and Friday activities are all based around 'World Book Day.'

For the next few days the phonics groups are focusing on recapping their learning. All the activities have been uploaded below and writing activities can either been printed out or completed in homework books.

Please check the overview for each day and just complete those activities.

Have a run about, stretch your legs and have a healthy drink/snack. 

PE- Live Dance Teams Session- 11:00 - 11:30

Please login to Teams at 10:45 to be ready for a live dance lesson with Mrs Denton!

After dance until 11:50, login to Cosmic Yoga or Joe Wicks to continue your PE session. Don't forget to add your sessions to your 21 minute challenge!

Spellings/Handwriting- 12:00 - 12:15

There will be no spellings set for this week or next week. During the week beginning 15th March the whole school will be reviewing spellings by completing the full year group tests. This list can be found in the back of your child's Home School Record book but please email me if it is not there. 

I would like you to practise these words through handwriting practise during this time. You can either complete this on the attached sheet or in your homework books- as neatly as you can!

Orange, Blue and Green Groups- LO: To multiply 2 x 1 digits using the grid method.

In today's lesson we will be recapping multiplying by 10 and then multiples of 10 before we practise using the grid method again. The PowerPoint that I will be sharing during the live lesson is attached below and the activity sheets too. There are also additional practise and problem solving activities to complete if you have finished. I have attached a multiplication square to help you with your calculations if needed. If you cannot print these then please complete your work neatly in your homework books. 

Yellow Group- LO: To solve division problems when sharing.

Today you will be solving division problems by sharing. You might find it useful to have some cubes or pasta shapes that you can share during the lesson. The activity has been attached below and there is additional activity sheets to complete too. If you cannot print these then please complete your work neatly in your homework books.

Mathematics Arithmetic- 2:10 - 2:20

Times tables for this week will not be tested until Friday 12th March- so you have longer to learn them!

Orange, Green and Blue- please practise the 8 times table by completing the activity below. (If you know the 4s then you just double the answers!)

Yellow and Red- please practise the 5 times table by completing the activity below.

RE- 2:20-3:00- The Eucharist Mass

LO: To learn about the Offering of the Gifts and the Eucharist Prayer. 

Today we will be learning about the Offering of the Gifts- what these are and what they represent. We will then be looking at the Eucharist Prayer which the Priest says to bless the Gifts. 

There is a PowerPoint attached with a video to watch first. Then I would like you to complete the scripture analysis and explanation activity. 

If you finish early there are also some colouring activities to complete if you'd like, based on the Gifts.

On Thursday as part of our World Book Day activities you will have a live lesson based on David Walliam's book 'Gansta Granny' with Miss Matthews. We are asking the children both at school and home to wear something 'granny' like for this session such as wig, cardigan or a walking stick etc.
