Good morning Class 2. Happy SNOW DAY!

Hope you're all well, being good and keeping healthy and active. Don't forget to email me at least once per week with an update of what you've been up to.

Can you join us live on Teams first thing this morning and again straight after lunch? We hope so!

We would love it if the children at home could share with us how they like to express themselves. For example; they could show us a painting, sing a song, perform a dance, play a musical instrument, lead a yoga session, share some photos they've taken, perform a poem, e.t.c. You could share these during our live team sessions, email them to me or share them on our school community Facebook page! I can't wait to see you all having fun and expressing yourselves!

UPDATE: It's mental health week so please make the most of the snow outdoors. I'd love to see photos of you expressing yourself through snow angels, snowball fights, snowmen and sledging!

Here's a wonderful example of two boys from our school (one from our class) expressing themselves beautifully through music. It cheered me right up and made me smile so I just had to share it with you all...

Join us on Teams for today's live RE lesson at 13:15 ...

Lesson objective (title for books) -

To understand belonging and identify groups that we belong to.

Miss Lynch will share a PowerPoint about 'Belonging' during the Live Teams lesson. The PowerPoint is also in the file below.

It would be great if the children at home could tell us about any groups or clubs they belong to. They could even come dressed in their club uniform or bring some medals/trophies or other interesting items relating to their club.

For example; Beavers, Brownies, Rainbows, Running Club, chess club, football club, reading club, e.t.c.

We all belong to the St. Peter's school Community so simply wearing school uniform is another option.

Often friends might have a special handshake for their friendship so they know that they belong. We will work together as a Class to design our own handshake to show that we belong to Class 2. Remember that belonging is about sharing in something with each other and whenever you see someone feeling sad or lonely share your handshake with them so that they remember that they belong to our Class where they are loved and cared for.

We all belong to the family of God and we belong together as friends of Jesus.

We will finish with a Toy Story 3 song all about 'Belonging'.

PE at 2:30 - 21 Minute Physical Activity Challenge...
